Reflection Task 2A

Social networking sites are very big dial for our today's world. Many people have acount in these network sites. These sites are big parts of our life. This is why I chose this topic for my reflection writing. Being so popular of social networking sites should make us think why they are so popular. There so many websites that nearly everybody has access to at least one of them.

However, there are positive and negative effects of these social networks. There are positive sides of social networking sites like easily doing some works, accessing informations. Nevertheless, those advantages can be disadvantages because of excessive usage. Social media leads addiction. People don't usually realize how much time they spend in front of computers or mobile phones.

Most of the major social network companies, as well as social content creators, are working hard every day to make their networks so addictive that people can't resist them. Secondly, people feel if they don't use social networks, they are going to stay out of today's trend. The addictive aspect of social networking is associated with FOMO -- fear of missing out. Everyone is on Facebook. They're posting things, sharing news and content and talking to each other 24/7.

On the other hand, somehow we need those websites, because many people do their job through these sites. Even I'm making my homework thanks to these networking sites. To sum up, there are negative effects like addiction, thinking of isolation from people; and positive effects like easy access to information, easily doing our works. So if people appropriately use these sites, disadvantages can be minimalized.
